Qonce, formerly known as King William’s Town, is a historic Eastern Cape town located along the Buffalo River, about 60 km northwest of East London.
Renamed in 2021, it serves as an important administrative centre within the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality and lies close to Bhisho, the provincial capital.
